Wonder Woman and Tor

Michelle MacLaren has been chosen to develop and direct the Wonder Woman solo film.  She is an emmy-winning director of series such as Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, so it definitely sounds like she has the chops to take on both action and drama.  I hope she is a comic fan as well, and shows an appreciation for the character's super-heroic side.

  1. Chris Sims over at ComicsAlliance posted a few weeks/months ago that Wonder Woman is DC's Thor. Wonder Woman needs to have that whole Xena-Hercules, sword and sorcery in a modern world thing going on.

I kinda thinking that Diana is a combination of Thor and Captain America.

Hopefully, Warner Bros. will have fun with the character. The DC heroes need to be fun and not all serious. The Christopher Reeve Superman film is still how I measure superhero films.

  2. How can she be a combination of those two when she predates both of them by several decades?

    1. Captain America debuted in March 1941. Wonder Woman at the end of that year December 1941. The myth of Thor has been around for centuries. But the Marvel version debuted in the 1960s.

  3. I'm hoping Lynda Carter will play Queen Hippolyta in the eventual feature film.
