Ragman and Daredevil in "From Rags to Stitches!"

The first images of Netflix Daredevil series have surfaced, and while some have compared the all-black outfit with no eye-holes to the costume worn in the cheesy Trial of the Incredible Hulk 80's TV Special, closer inspection reveals it to be inspired by the outfit worn by Matt Murdock in Frank Miller's Man Without Fear mini-series.  I am taking that as a good sign and I am sure  there will be a more traditional DD look eventually.

  1. Now THIS is an ınterestıng pair. And I have always felt that Daredevıl was a DC character that somehow ended up ın the Marvel Unıverse (lıke Fırestorm ıs a Marvel character that somehow ended up ın DC!). Ragman ıs one of my all tıme favorıte second-bananas ın the pre-Crısıs DC and I always eagerly antıcıpated hıs appearances ın Brave & the Bold, DC Comıcs Presents or back up storıes. I am a fan of ALL of Robert Kannıgher's creatıons- Ragman, Rose & the Thorn, Unknown Soldıer?, Manbat?, The Creeper? (someone please correct me ıf I am wrong)

  2. Very cool cover! It pulls together really well. And it will be interesting to see the new Daredevil series.
I'm also looking forward to many of the other comic-based movies coming out in the next couple of years. Especially Suicide Squad and Sinister Six. I kind of wish they had the budget to do the Suicide Squad as a TV series because they you'd see many more hours of it as well as more turnover of characters, but you take what you can get, right? Any chance you could do a cover of the Suicide Squad going after the Secret Six? It just sounds like a cool idea.
A couple of years ago, I remember saying that I wish they should make a movie of Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxy. One has now happened and the other looks to be in the works. I also wish they'd make a movie of Alien Legion. Adam Strange and Kamandi would be interesting, too.

  3. Suicide Squad and Secret Six are both DC, I bet they have crossed over for real by now. I'd like to use more of both, but teams are always tougher to use than single characters.

  4. Actually, I think Rex Smith's Daredevil outfit, in TOTIH, made him look more like a cape-less version of the Shroud.

  5. @worldmusic: Man-Bat was a Frank Robbins creation, and the Creeper was Steve Ditko. Fittingly, I don't know about the Unknown Soldier. I agree with you about Ragman -- at least, until they gave him a mystical background in the post-Crisis revision.

  6. Ross, It seems you misread Ordinaryguy2's post. He asked for the SINISTER Six to go up against the Suicide Squad. Not the SECRET Six. Just putting my nose in where it may not belong. Great cover, as always, by the way.

  7. It says Secret Six right there, maybe he mis-wrote. The Sinister Six will indeed return to these pages.

  8. The Secret (not Sinister) Six did indeed go up against the Suicide Squad, at least once. (I remember it was something to do with Amanda Waller wanting Deadshot back on her team.) They also tackled the Doom Patrol -- twice! -- which was pretty awesome.

  9. Ordinaryguy2 here. I see what happened. I said Sinister Six in the first part of my post, then later in the post I said Secret Six. But I really was suggesting Marvel's Sinister Six to go against DC Suicide Squad. Sorry for the confusion. Not trying to pressure you or anything. I'm really a big fan of what you do, and suggest it to anyone I think would be interested. I just thought Sinister Six and the Suicide Squad would make an interesting cover. Thanks.
