I think these two would be a natural for a story together. They each come from an amazing hidden society where their parent is the ruler. They are founding members of the greatest superhero teams on Earth where they are among the strongest members, due to their physical strength as well as their signature weapons. It would be a blast to see them share an adventure.
Throw in Hercules and things would get really wild.
ReplyDeleteHey, there's a thought. Marvel's Hercules meets DC's Hercules. Better yet, add the Quality Comics Hercules, Kevin Sorbo, and the 1960s animated Mighty Hercules, and make it a team.
What Bob Said and throw in Erik Larsan's HERAKLES form Savage Dragon
ReplyDeleteOh, let's go hog wild and toss Hercule Poirot into the mix. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally could go for a team of Herculeses. (Or would that be Herculi?) It would be almost as much fun as a team of Captains Marvel, or a team of Wonder Men.
ReplyDeleteOne of the prominent pairs of ingredients for New Amalgam comics--these two were mixed to make Thunder Woman, a founding member of the Justice Avengers.
ReplyDeleteAnother Team-Up that was LONG overdue, Ross! But the wait was worth it.
ReplyDeleteI love Bob's idea, a team up of Herculeses! Another idea I had that's similar, Elasti-Girl from the Doom Patrol meets Elasti-Girl from the Incredibles!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Junior - I was surprised I hadn't paired them together already...
ReplyDeleteThe Hercules team features characters with such disparate art styles that it would be tough... Been wanting to do a meeting of the 2 Elasti-Girls as well, just gotta find images that can work together.
ReplyDeleteI love this! BTW, that looks like George Perez art on WW. For my money, the Perez run of Wonder Woman was about the best use of the character ever, both in terms of art and writing.
ReplyDeleteIMO, another interesting pairing for Diana would be the Submariner.
WW and Subby will indeed cross paths one of these days...
ReplyDeleteFollowing along with this team up, how about pairing up their respective replacements? Beta Ray Bill & Donna Troy anyone?
ReplyDeleteI think a team-up of the, ah, Herculoids? (where have I heard that before?) would be pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteD.C.'s Thor and Marvel's?
Thor's stepmother, Frigga, was (among other things) goddess of wedding vows. So, it makes a tragic kind of sense that the thunder god might get struck down for doing it with another man's wife.*
ReplyDelete*Or does this occur _before_ her marriage to Cap?
