The New Teen Titans and X-Men: First Class

Recent interviews with Simon Kinberg, writer of the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past have hinted at some possible ramifications of the time-altering film. He explains that along with DoFP, The Phoenix Saga is his other favorite X-Men story from the comics, and he was disappointed that the story was not served well when it was combined with the "mutant cure" plot for the third film.  Might this new film reset the pieces enough that a proper telling of the X-Men's greatest story line ever is a possibility?

  1. Yes!
Thank you so much! This goes so well with the Teen Titans: Year One and Untold Tales of Spider-Man #21 featuring The X-Men that I brought on my extended stay in Kiev.

(I would still like to see a Year One/First Class team-up -- but this is still AWESOMETACULAR!)

There seems to be a good buzz going on for "Days of Future Past". Now that we are all familiar with the X-Men story, from the first film and "First Class", I would hope that the films focus on a single storyline, rather than just being a goulash of a bunch of different threads.

Whether it's Spider-Man, X-Men of the Disney/Marvel films, I feel like DC is just hearing the sound of one hand clapping over and over and over...

  2. X-MEN 3 was way better than X-MEN: LOW CLASS (as I shall always--unapologetically--refer to that unnecessary reboot).

  3. I'm willing to bet that DAYS OF FUTURE PAST movie ends with the timeline reset and the five original X-Men coming to Xavier's School for the first time.

  4. I'd love that, but it doesn't really jibe with the cast they have planned for the next film.
