Martian Manhunter Vs. The Super Skrull

I have already featured a couple of covers where J'onn J'onzz has gotten in trouble by being mistaken for a Skrull, so I thought it was about time that he confronted the villain behind the deception.  Who says this isn't the swinging STF age of resolving dangling plot lines? 'Nuff said!

  1. :) Cool!
I'm hooked on re-reading Alex Ross' JLA: Liberty and Justice, JLA: Secret Origin and Justice. I need to re-read Earth-2, and enjoy J'onn and Arthur beating the Crime Syndicate.

I got hooked on the Justice League paperback novel series. I just wish that there was a novel for both Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. Apparently, stories set underwater or out on Mars don't sell books, or somethin'...

    HA!

  2. This is a surprisingly even matchup despite SS's fire abilities. Nice.

    STF continuity, love it. :)

  3. I dunno. The Manhunter's definitely got an edge in the strength department, and is probably a more accomplished shapeshifter, but I don't see how he'd get past SS's Human Torch powers. Maybe if he read the Skrull's mind to anticipate his attacks...
Great idea for a battle! I'd definitely buy this comic!

  4. This blog is brilliant. I spent a couple of days just looking at all those amazing covers.
A few favorites I´d like to see in future covers are Dracula (by the great Gene Colan), Lobo, Hitman, Grendel, Grimjack American Flagg, Madame Xanadu, the Unknown Soldier, Preacher, the Maxx, and characters from Checkmate, Gotham Central and the Suicide Squad.
    Congratulations from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

  6. Unimportant trivia - Skymax, the Squadron Supreme's counterpart to Martian Manhunter, is also an alternate version of the Super Skrull.
