The Star-Spangled Kid and Captain America

It's fitting that this cover falls on Memorial Day Weekend, when we take the time out to remember the brave men and women who fight for freedom around the world.  I appreciate their service and my thanks goes out to any member of the military, past or present, who may be reading this blog - you are the true superheroes!

  3. Great cover!

It doesn't matter who the Star Spangled Kid teams up with, he and Stripesy were the cool spin on the hero-sidekick theme. I'm surprised that DC hasn't made an effort to revive him...

This is such a cool patriotic team-up! t would be great to see Cap and Bucky with the Kid and Stripesy!

I don't recognize the villain, who is it?

  4. I'd say that Stargirl is DC's modern day SSK - she even had the same partner, Stripesy.

    The Villain is The Sultan.

  6. Very nice cover! It actually looks like it could have been drawn as a unit.

The villain looks to me like it's Per Degaton.

Now I'm hoping we can see the same pair for July 4th (rather than the nightmare I had last night about the cover for that day featuring Hawkman and Space Ghost battling the ID4 aliens).

  8. How about DC's Enchantress meets Marvel's Enchantress. Or Emerald Empress vs. Scarlet Witch?
