I always had a soft spot for Hourman's costume. While other heroes had fancy outfits with form fitting cowls, Rex Tyler looked like he assembled his suit from items around the house. It looked like something that I would have put together instead of something from another planet or fabricated in a high tech lab. Zorro had a very simple but very effective look - his black mask and cape motif was borrowed by some of the best in the business.
That is a cool cover!
ReplyDeleteI think some form of - time travel would have to be involved...
It's kind of a shame that Rex Tyler is considered an addict because of his use of pills to become a hero. But then, so is Ralph Dibney. Not a real good message to present to kids on heroes, one a "pill-popper", the other a "drinker"...
Ahhh, good times, good times...
elegant.
ReplyDeleteRoss, i just realised i don't have anymore suggestions..you've done them all!!! Your on your own now, buddy!! Good Work, tho ;o)
ReplyDeleteThis is hardly "the most unlikely team of all," but that's just a quibble for an otherwise wonderful cover.
ReplyDeleteI'm also thinking... would it be at all possible to team up Hourman with Roger Ramjet?
Now that would be unlikely!
ReplyDelete@AirDave: You think they were bad influences? What about... 8th Man?

ReplyDeleteCool cover Ross. Now can you do one with Mighty Mouse and Atomic Mouse? Or Howard the Duck meets Dirty Duck? Those two together would be a riot!
ReplyDeleteMM and HTD will be featured... Those other two are pretty obscure though, I had to look them up.
ReplyDeleteI think Howard the Duck meeting Destroyer Duck would be quite appropriate.
ReplyDeleteThey've already met as members of Fowl Force.
ReplyDelete@Lee Houston: Howard the Duck sort of did meet Destroyer Duck in a Savage Dragon story, since Howard was the basis for the "Little Guy" character in the original Eclipse series. It "unofficially" crossed over with Spider-man Team-up #5 in the late 90's.
