This week the news hit that Marvel has finally regained the film rights to Daredevil. I am eager to see where they go with the property. They could go with a cinematic reboot, or perhaps a TV series - Daredevil and most of his rogues are street level enough to pull off on a television budget. Whatever route they choose, it will be interesting to see who lands in the role of Matt Murdock. My choice is still Joel Edgertion from Zero Dark Thirty and Warrior.
Fin-head meets horn-head - - that is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI saw Joel Edgerton in The Odd Life of Timothy Green. If he can pull off the stunt work and a younger look. i would think that they would HAVE to go younger.
Depending on a second season of Arrow, I would vote for television series.
Either way, this will probably hit sometime around 2015 or 2016, and hopefully catch on for a trilogy of films or a good run as a series.
Somebody young will have to be able to carry it.
It would be great to have a Marvel character series on HBO or Showtime. An adult level Breaking Bad/Walking Dead type series, not for kids. But maybe thats unlikely- unless the character is either The Punisher or Luke Cage, and even then, Marvel might soften them for CBS or NBC. Anyway, I would love to see Daredevil as a cutting edge, Sopranos-level violence & budget series on HBO. Imagine telling your kids, "Sorry, you can't watch Daredevil! It just too much for you!" Lol!
ReplyDeleteoh.....and since we're on the subject, I'd like to suggest: Batman vs. The Walking Dead! Its been ages since we've seen Batman or the Thing here, and it'd be great to see the again!
ReplyDeleteI do have a Walking Dead cover coming up. Plenty of Batman, Thing and FF covers as well...
ReplyDeleteSweet Finhead back you oughta do Super patriot Teaming with Captain America
ReplyDelete"Until you blew my cover" made me laugh out loud! Dragon is good at a lot of things, but undercover work ain't one of them!
