I don't know what I was thinking the day I made this one. I originally was just going to do a Superman/Jughead cover and it kind of grew from there. Hopefully we have finally had our last snowstorm here in Massachusetts and I can start grilling again, looking at this cover again is making me hungry!
:)
ReplyDeleteThis cover is exactly what comics should be about! This cover is why I am more excited about the Batman '66 tie-in comic to the old live action Adam West Batman. Be all grim and gritty as you want to. I'll read comics that are wacky and fun. When you can tell a story with a talking dog, I am there! A story with a cover like this could only work before 1985. This is probably the best cover ever!
how bout a new insane clown posse with the joker crazyman and slapstick from marvel
ReplyDeleteGenius!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I honestly think the Hulk is the underdog on this battle of the gargantuan gullets. How did THAT happen? :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smile.

I absolutely LOVE this one!!!! Bravo!!
ReplyDeleteWhat??? No Matter Eater Lad?
ReplyDelete"What??? No Matter Eater Lad?"
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? Matter Eater Lad is a strict mineraltarian.
Wimpy would blow Hulk and Superman out of the water! Scooby & Shaggy ate a lot, but they had their limits and were known to get tummy aches after binges. Jughead is not human in regards to this past time, so I think he and wimpy will have a battle of the ages.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome, but I think it would have been even better had it been posted next Monday.
ReplyDeleteUnless, of course, you have something even better planned for Monday.
Monday will mark the end of an era for this blog, which I will discuss on that day. No special April Fools cover, but a character that I didn't expect to use will appear.
ReplyDeleteI would have to respectfully disagree with the idea that Supes would be an also ran in this contest. I had that issue with the hamburgers. He went through 2 million burgers in an hour. And yes, the Hulk would be the underdog in this one. Speaking of Underdog, how about him and Krypto or Lockjaw?
ReplyDeleteI have plans for all of those pooches on upcoming covers...
ReplyDeleteThis is groovy. And I agree that wild and creative is better than grim and gritty.
ReplyDeleteAnd, as a fellow Bay Stater, I also agree about the snow. :D
Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteArchie and Friends are vastly underappreciated IMO.
