Enjoying comics takes a definite willing suspension of disbelief. Heroes from another planet, chemical exposure leading to super-powers, glasses concealing an identity - I accepted it all. But sometimes
Archie Comics truly strained credibility. I, like Archie, was an awkward redhead in high school - and that's where the similarity ended. There were definitely no hot babes fighting for my attention. I don't know what he was doing that I wasn't!
Dave sez,
ReplyDelete...were YOU in a band like Archie was?
Now THIS is a team-up! Perfect artwork! I would love to see more of the Archie Super Teen characters!
Hey, I could definitely see this team-up happening. The Archie gang has met with some pretty unlikely characters, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kiss, and The Punisher--THE PUNISHER! So can Wonder Woman really be that far away?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work.

I would buy a 100-page team-up of Egg-Fu and Mr. Weatherbee sight unseen.
ReplyDeleteThis one reminds me of some of the cover mock-ups I've done... Great work.
ReplyDeleteDave - The band, that must be it! There will be an Archie super character appearing in the future.
ReplyDeleteHey, has anybody else noticed how you never see Sabrina and Clea in the same room at the same time...?
ReplyDeletehow bout team that gets their powers from pills or eating or drinking something such as underdog hour man popeye elongated man also do a dc version of fantastic four with firestorm swamp thing gypsy and plastic man
ReplyDeleteWhat most people don't realize about Archie and his bevvy of babes is that it comes down to two things: pheromones and it's rumored he's a great kisser! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat work as always, Ross. You make me want to invest in characters I've no interest. That's the best compliment I can give a creator!
Gregg
I'll say that the Diana seductively posing for Archie is actually Amora of Asgard posing as Diana.
