Here are two great characters that were both inspired in part by the cliffhanger serial movies of the 40's. I think they would fit right in with each other and it would make for an action-packed tale. Now that Disney owns Lucasfilm, I wonder what their plans for the Indiana Jones franchise will be? Disney produced the
Rocketeer film, but they never went back to that well, even when it found an audience on video. Hopefully the success of Disney's Marvel arm will convince them to give the property another try one of these days.
There is talk about a Rocketeer movie reboot over at Disney what with the success Captain America. Fingers crossed.

I like this one. Both are already set in the same time period. Other than Cliff's rocket pack, nothing in the Rocketeer movie felt like it would be out of place in an Indiana Jones movie. Of course, Betty would have to try and make Cliff jealous by fawning over Indy :-)
ReplyDeleteCaptain America would have been a great addition to round out this pair into a trio. Still, this is a great cover, and a great premise.
ReplyDeletehow bout indiana jones han solo for oddness or luke skywalker and joker or jabba the hut vs manthing or yoda vs spike the gremlin or darth maul vs bane or dr doom
ReplyDeleteA team up between these two and a time-traveling Killraven would certainly boost sales for Marvel among older readers!
