Daredevil and Calvin and Hobbes



I have to admire Bill Watterson for ending Calvin and Hobbes while it was still at the peak of its quality and never looking back.  His refusal to licence his characters out to other mediums is a rare move which has also preserved the strip's integrity.  That said, I would love to see him return one day.  Calvin and Hobbes was my favorite comic strip ever and it would be great to see what Watterson would have to say about them after such a long hiatus.

    I cannot be sure if it is from him or it is just an homage, but I recently saw a piece where it seems that Calvin grew up, got married, had a daughter, and now she has Hobbes. It was very sweet and exactly what you figure would happen, did.

    it's kind of too bad about the refusal to commercialise calvinand Hobbes
    I loved the strip and have all the reprint trades. But it certainly would have made a great cartoon or animated feature. But for whatever reason...it is what it is.

    Well, Ross, you warned me that this was particularly offbeat. Not only is the pairing wonderfully quirky, but so is the assemblage of the cover.

    Here I am, about to head off to bed and I just suddenly remembered that I hadn't checked in here yet. I'm glad I did. What a great way to finish the day.

    I think a Calvin and Hobbes II strip would work if Calvin was Calvin Jr with a new stuffed animal and occasional interaction with original Hobbes.
