This is the kind of story I would have loved as a kid. I was, of course, a big fan of team and team up comics and I would love tales that would feature many characters interacting. The master of this was Gardner Fox. In his Justice League stories, he would have his characters split off into smaller teams for a series of chapters, and then bring everyone back together for a slam bang finale. It was great to see stories on such a large scale, yet completely told in the span of a single issue.
Sun Boy's thinking " I get the guy with the beard and the club feet. Krypton-Boy keeps the two hot redheads. Man,I HATE him!"

ReplyDeleteThe DNAgents and New Teen Titans team-up was kind of already done. Back in the first New Teen Titans series (1980-1986) the group faced a look-alike group called The Recombatants (a play on the term 'recombinant DNA'). I think it was done by a guest artist, Steve Rude. It even had a plot about ownership of artificial genes, the original premise of DNAgents.
Man, this is another one of these that I totally want to read now! ;-)
