A lot of folks got a kick out of my Batman/Herculoids cover, but I thought I should make a MTIO cover featuring the group, as it is an even more appropriate team-up. Heck, they already have one big rocky guy on the team with Igoo, so I figure Ben Grimm would fit right in. Plus both the Herculoids and the Fantastic Four were part of the animated
Hanna-Barbera's World of Super-Adventure, so I figure them crossing paths is well overdue!
awesome. where's the Batman one?
ReplyDeleteDave sez,
ReplyDelete(Xenorama...I think it's in the archives)
That's an awesome cover!
I missed a lot of the great, classic '60's H-B stuff!
Animation isn't as big as it used to be...which is a shame...
I have archives and a search function to make it easy to find any cover - Batman/Herculoids was posted on August 13 - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteFINALLY FINALLY FINALLY!
ReplyDeleteBest...cover...ever!
ReplyDeleteDid you ever do Jonny Quest?
Twice!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't considered it before, but it would be neat to see Ben with fellow Kirby creation Thundarr, only I can't remember Thundarr ever appearing in comic book form. Most of the published illustrations I'm aware of (interior ads and storyboard sketches) are probably inappropriate for your purposes. Wish I had a scan I could send you. You did a brilliant job of blending two painted sources (much harder than two four-color sources, I'd imagine).
ReplyDeleteit's "zandor" not zandar....
