Green Lantern and Sasquatch
For a while it seemed like every new superhero team created had to have a "big guy in the back", and lots of oversized strong guys kept showing up. Sasquatch was a big guy in the back before it became a cliche and I think that he still has one of the best designs of them all. Heck, I would have bought a Sasquatch solo series.

Zatanna and Dazzler
Zatanna has had a number of different looks, but for obvious reasons the top hat and fishnet look always seems to return. I will say that while the above look didn't do much for me, I did like the second new outfit she wore in Justice League of America, designed by George Perez.

Boba Fett and the Rocketeer in "Secord... In Space!"
One character that I haven't heard a lot about in connection to the Han Solo movie that is about to begin filming is Boba Fett. He never got the big action scene that he deserved in the original trilogy, and it would be great to see him get one more shot. I can't remember if it was ever established whether he and Han had met prior to the events of The Empire Strikes Back, though.
These two met once before in STF #1464...

Photon and Air Wave
Monica Rambeau is long overdue for her live action debut. Light-based powers shouldn't be too difficult to pull off so she could easily be featured on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I'd prefer that she get the big screen treatment, though. I'm thinking that the upcoming Captain Marvel film would be a good place to introduce her character.

Phantom Stranger and The Shadow (Part Two)
Continued from yesterday's cover, we see what The Phantom Stranger has been after all along. It's cool to see The Shadow in the movies and comics, and I have enjoyed both. For me though, I will always be most fond of the classic radio dramas featuring the character. They bring me back to camping trips with my family, and I have always loved the (now mostly lost) art form of the radio play. The Shadow, Mystery Theater, X-Minus One and many other programs really knew how to stimulate the theater of the mind.

Phantom Stranger and The Shadow (Part One)
This cover comes about from a suggestion by STF Patron Ken Roskos. I had to smack my head when I read it because I could not believe that I hadn't thought of it before, it feels like a natural. In fact, I liked the idea of these two together so much that I made it a two-parter - so make sure to stop by again tomorrow for the thrilling conclusion!

Jack of Hearts and Firestorm
This was a pairing that I saw suggested in the comments a little while back and I have to agree that the costumes do look pretty cool together. Both outfits look great on their own in the comics despite (or perhaps because of) some odd choices like Firestorm's puffy sleeves or Jack's overly complicated vest pattern.

Doctor Strange and Metamorpho
An odd couple to be sure, but I think this could be a fun pairing. I can see Rex Mason not having much patience for all of the mystic mumbo jumbo goings on, let alone being imprisoned. Between his bag of elemental tricks and Strange's magical spells, it might be a fun match up to read about and see.

The Joker and Arcade
Arcade is one of the X-Men's more outlandish villains, but if the movies can adapt Apocalypse and soon Mister Sinister, then why not him? It would be a nice change of pace from all the world conquering bad guys to have Arcade just messing with the X-Men' heads and springing death traps. With the team now finally sporting their more comic-accurate uniforms, it would make for some awesome visuals at least.

Wonder Woman and The Scarlet Witch
After the critical misfires of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, a lot is riding on the success of Wonder Woman. Lets hope that director Patty Jenkins finds the right mix of action, humor, heart and spectacle that the character deserves and can set the DCEU back on the proper track. I liked Jenkins's work on Breaking Bad, but that is such a different property than Wonder Woman, I remain cautiously optimistic.

Daredevil Vs. Two-Face
Given their involvement in the legal system, I can definitely see these two crossing paths and making life difficult for one another. Two-Face has always been my favorite Batman villain, from his appearance to his relationship with Bruce Wayne, to his duality schtick.

Sleepwalker and Sandman in: "While the City Sleeps!"
When I would read the JLA/JSA team-ups of my youth, one character looked cooler than the rest. Wesley Dodd's non-traditional superhero garb really stood out against all the ore "modern" looks. The hat, the creepy gas mask, the green and purple combo usually reserved for villains - it all worked perfectly!

Vixen Vs. Kraven the Hunter
I was glad to see Vixen back in the JLA line up with the debut of the new Justice League of America #1. She was the best addition from the Detroit-era League and works well in a team setting. I am also enjoying her live action appearances on DC's Legends of Tomorrow - one of the best realized heroes on TV.

He-Man Vs. Thor
I am very encouraged by some of the production artwork coming from Thor: Ragnarok. I really like what I see and hope that they stick to the designs. Hela looks spot on, as does the Hulk's armor. Best of all, it looks like Thor will finally be wearing a helmet into battle, at least in the arena scenes.

Captain America and General Glory
General Glory was a Captain America analogue that appeared on the pages of Justice League in the 90's. While he could have been simply a one note parody character, I likes the stories that were told with him and his relationship with Guy Gardner. I don't think he made is past the last few reboots though.

Promethea Enters The House of Mystery
I was glad to see The House of Mystery make an appearance in the Justice League Dark animated feature. While I thought that having Black Orchid as the embodiment of the house was an interesting spin, I did miss seeing Cain and Abel. I was hoping they would show up during the run of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, but no such luck. Perhaps they will finally get their chance on Justice League Action.

Wolverine and The Spectre
Logan looks to be a very different take on Wolverine than any past movie appearance. I read Old Man Logan in the comics, but the film appears to only have a few similarities, telling it's own tale of an older Wolverine. It's hard to tell though, the trailers have not given away much, which is a good thing. Let's hope that Hug Jackman's final turn in the role is the most memorable.

The Green Arrow and Hawkeye in "Archer Enemies!"
I like pairing these guys together for obvious reasons, and this is their sixth team up. I wanted to add a golden-age style cover to the mix, so here goes!
As I said, Green Arrow and Hawkeye have met before on the blog - They first met in one of my very earliest STF covers... then they were at odds with a few fellow Avengers along for the tale... Next up they faced off against The Hulk and Solomon Grundy... then it was time to hone their skills... and finally they shared an adventure with Black Canary and Mockingbird.

Shining Knight and Excalibur
I enjoy reading about The Shining Knight in the way that I enjoy some of my favorite Captain America stories. The whole "man out of time" concept is always an interesting plot device and works even better with Sir Justin. I'm a big fan of The Seven Soldiers of Victory and All-Star Squadron as well, so wherever he shows up is usually a treat for me.

The Outsiders and Spider-Man
The recent announcement that Black Lightning will be joining the rest of the DC TV lineup on the WB network has me optimistic that we may see The Outsiders in live action yet. Katana has already been established on Arrow, as has Stagg Industries, opening the way for Metamorpho. I don't imagine there would be any conflict in using Halo or Geo-Force, so why not eventually bring Batman's allies together?
