Justice League of America and The Micronauts
OK, so The Transformers seem to rake in the box office receipts despite critical reaction, isn't it time for a Micronauts movie? A live action trip to the Microverse could be very cool. Maybe if Ant-Man is a hit for Marvel, audiences will be ready for more action in miniature.

Spider-Man and Jimmy Olsen
I finally caught The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on Blu-Ray and while there are moments of great potential in there, the film seemed to be a wasted opportunity for the most part. There were things I liked a lot - the new costume is the best live action Spidey suit to date, Gwen's fate was handled nicely, and the special effects looked great for the most part. The story, however, was a mess and seemed to repeat past mistakes of other films. Electro looked like Mr. Freeze and had the same back story as The Riddler, giving his whole arc a Joel Schumaker vibe. The Green Goblin was a boring retread with an even worse costume than the first two times, and the Rhino was barely there with a way-over the top performance from the usually reliable Paul Giamatti. On top of all of that, too much time is spent on the mystery of Peter's parents, which after two movies I still don't care about. I hope that some real reevaluation is done before bringing The Amazing Spider-Man 3 to life.

The Human Torch and Nightwing
Dick Grayson has dropped yet another superheroic identity and now operates undercover in a series titled simply Grayson, adding a new wrinkle to the career of comicdom's original sidekick. The aging and replacing of Robins in the DCU has been one of the main problems when trying to streamline continuity, and I don't see that improving any time soon. For the New 52 reboot, I think DC would perhaps been better served by de-aging Dick Grayson and returning him either to his Robin role or his first days as Nightwing, with a young Tim Drake assuming the mantle. They could still have reintroduced Jason or Damian eventually, but with all of Batman's partners running around simultaneously, it just clutters and dilutes the concept in my opinion - not to mention being anything but new reader friendly.

Kamandi meets Sub-Mariner and The Hulk
I always got a kick out of seeing Namor and The Hulk interact, whether they were working together or at odds with one another. Namor had a nasty temper and a bad attitude towards the surface world, and no character other than The Hulk could match him in that department. The Hulk claimed to be the strongest one there is and got his way with brute force, but Namor was one of the few that could stand up to his might. These aspects gave their relationship an interesting dynamic.

Wonder Woman Vs. Judge Dredd
Brian Bolland has always left me wanting more as far as his interiors go, but I guess I can understand that the amount of care and detail that he includes means he won't produce as much work as some other artists. He makes up for it with his stunning cover work though. Whether it's on a standard superhero comic or something in more of a Vertigo vein, his visuals always make me stop and take a closer look... which is exactly what a great cover should do.

Batman and Man-Thing in "Burning the Evidence!"
Man-Thing has been name-checked on Agents of Shield, and while I am sure that was mostly a nod to the fans, it would be fun for him to show up there. I don't know if he could carry his own Marvel movie, but appearances in a couple episodes of the TV series could be very cool... and help to erase the memories of the unfortunate made-for-TV film from some years back.
Batman first met Man-thing back in 2010...

Superman Vs. Annihilus
Annihilus has always been one of my favorite Marvel villains. His insect-like design creeped me out in a good way, I could see why any hero would be intimidated when he showed up. Plus he came from The Negative Zone, where the laws of our universe have no bearing. I'd love to see him make the leap to live action someday (provided that the Fantastic Four ever get a proper portrayal as well).

Mary Marvel and Marvelman
Marvelman is a character and series that I always wanted to get into, but never got the chance. The series was not available around where I lived when it was originally in print, and then legal battles prevented new editions once I had plenty of comic shops to choose from. Finally, the chance has come around again to discover these stories, and I look forward to seeing what all the fuss was about.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Vs. Deadpool and Bane
Despite the fact that word of mouth was less than stellar, the newest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film seemed to do well at the box office, so audiences can count on another installment of the Michael Bay-produced franchise. The somewhat creepy design of the leads was a turn-off for me, so I decided to make this one a rental. For me, the CGI animated TMNT is still the best the Turtles have looked onscreen.

Jade and The Hulk
Jade is yet another casualty of the New 52 Reboot. She and her brother, Obsidian, apparently had no place in a reality where their once-father was de-aged and changed his sexual orientation. Two perfectly good characters tossed aside for the sake of a quickly forgotten headline. Comics being comics, I hope they still find a way to resurface somewhere.

Challengers of the Unknown and Iron Man
The Challenger of the Unknown are a DC property that never quite hit the big time as far as recognition beyond comics are concerned, but they seem to find a way to return every so often. I think a lot of it all comes down to their team name - it just sounds so cool, and it's a shame not to use it, not unlike The Doom Patrol. I'm not sure what the Challengers' current status is in the New 52. Hopefully they'll find their place in the spotlight again one of these days.

The Flash and The Thing in "The Fast and the Furious!"
I miss the Pre-New 52 Wally West. It's still strange to me that DC spent so many decades building him up as a character, only to cast him aside. Plus, along the shoddy treatment of Ralph Dibny, DC's anti-ginger bias saddens me. Guy Gardner better watch his back. Hopefully Grant Morrison's current Multiversity project will allow for the Wally I grew up with to return in some way.

The Avengers and Manhunter
Now that the actors portraying the big 3 Avengers are nearing the end of their movie contracts, I am sure Marvel must be considering where to go next. Do they give Thor, Iron man and Cap a rest while giving some of their other heroes a chance on the big screen, or will they continue to make sequels? If it's the latter, will other actors step into the roles, or will they swap out the characters, focusing on Bucky as Cap or Rhodey as Iron Man? One thing is for sure, Marvel is on a roll and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.

Hourman and Jack Bauer
I was very happy to hear that the TV series 24 was making a return appearance this year, and it did not disappoint. Sure, it was way over the top, but that's what I always loved about the show. Kiefer Sutherland and William Devane chewed the scenery quite nicely and the addition of Yvonne Strahovsky was a welcome one. The ending left the story of Jack Bauer open, so hopefully we haven't seen the last of him.

Adam Strange and Captain Universe
Captain Universe is a great concept - super powers that get regularly passed from one person to another. This is another C-list Marvel hero that I could see making a successful transition to movies or television. They would not even have to lock in a major star for an extended contract, due to the nature of the property. There could even be multiple Captain Universes in one movie. Now that Marvel's film division is digging a bit deeper into their catalog of characters, I hope that they will consider this hero for live action.

The Spectre and Ghostbusters
With the untimely passing of Harold Ramis, I figured that the rumors of a third Ghostbusters film would finally cease, but that does not seem to be the case. There is still chatter about a new installment, with the remaining members handing off the reigns to a younger team. Some say the group will be filled with contemporary comedic stars, and some say an all-female group may be in the plans. I love the first movie, and the second - while not perfect - has grown on me... but something tells me that just too much time has passed and it is time to let the sequel dream go. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I think it will be very hard to recapture the magic.

Metamorpho and Mr. Fantastic
I've been wanting to feature the U-Foes on a cover for a while. I love their name and they have interesting power sets to go with their outlandish appearances. I think they would put even the versatile team of Rex mason and Reed Richards to the test. It would be pretty cool to see them translated to live action, maybe going up against The Hulk.

Captain America And The Demon in "The Curse of Blackbriar Thorne"
The latest shake up in the world of Captain America comics is that Steve Rogers has the body of an old man and Sam Wilson is taking over as the new Cap. Not a bad concept, but every time I see Wilson in the weird hybrid Falcon/Cap outfit, I just don't understand how it is supposed to work. How is he going to fling that shield with those huge wings in the way? I probably shouldn't be too concerned, as Rogers is sure to be back in the role by the time his next sequel rolls around.

The Question Vs. Mysterio
Given that the Question is all about uncovering mysteries and conspiracies, I think that he would be a great match against Mysterio, the master of illusion and deception. I'm betting it would be a cloudy issues as well - both of these guys are fond of showing up covered in plumes of smoke.

Metron Vs. The Watcher
I was interested at first when I heard that Uatu the Watcher would be at the center of Marvel's latest event, Original Sin, as I have always thought he was a cool concept and character. Sadly, it turns out that the story revolves around his murder and mutilation... so not really my cup of tea after all. I wish the big 2 publishers could find more interesting things to do with my favorite characters than to kill them off!
