I presume you've seen Busiek/Perez's JLA/AVENGERS crossover, which was a pretty brilliant evocation of the team up we'd all waited thirty years to see... a much, much better one than the various plots and ideas that Conway, et al had contrived before.

Anyway, I love your covers, and will close by saying, I bought the original issue of JLA that this cover is pulled from off a spinner rack when I was like 11. I wish I still owned it. And, like you, I really enjoyed the 100 Page Super Spectaculars, for all the reasons you so beautifully articulate.

Keep 'em coming!Doc Nebulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13052810933464744998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-25251647015876651812013-02-07T23:31:10.434-05:002013-02-07T23:31:10.434-05:00What a treat- you perfectly captured those great 1...What a treat- you perfectly captured those great 100 pagers. That's a whole different angle on things.

And looking at that image of the Star-Spangled Kid and Stripsey makes me want to see them team up with Captain America.

Increasingly, too, we want DC and/or Marvel to hire you as an editor. I think a combined steady publication of this very title would be excellent, and would likely mark my return to buying comics.

Also, @Lizard: I hope you'll also consider reading my novels before you write a sequel. There might be something there for you. (I've even once suggested to Ross that he might do something with Bear Waters, the hero of my books... though with only two available images that's likely to be a very tall order!)Bob Greenwadehttp://lulu.com/spotlight/bobgreenwadenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-52974559722007855312013-02-07T16:12:29.663-05:002013-02-07T16:12:29.663-05:00Thanks!
