And when that story appeared in 1973, both deaths were "for real" and "forever." Plus, even if Gobby had been "alive" when Supes met Spidey, Norman Osborn probably would have had too much baggage in his backstory. The Silver Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00730805376957629641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-31177940648850211522018-02-26T16:15:14.262-05:002018-02-26T16:15:14.262-05:00Does the Goblin know enough to bring an all-wooden...Does the Goblin know enough to bring an all-wooden arsenal?

If not--Holy Mismatch!Kid Charlemagnenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-12503218341684582232018-02-26T11:39:45.714-05:002018-02-26T11:39:45.714-05:00@Isaac and @ jackel: Thanks for letting me know t...@Isaac and @ jackel: Thanks for letting me know that. Most of the issues from the 60s that I have are Marvel, especially the Avengers. I started collecting initially in the mid 170s for about 2 years. Then I got deeply into it in the 80s throughout high school and college. Unfortunately, graduate school took up my reading time. I have been out of the loop for about 20 years for the most part. I was able to read the DC/Marvel crossovers right at 20 years ago and the subsequent Avengers/JLA, which I thought was awesome. One deep enough to fool even doctors of the caliber of Donald Blake! Because, let's not forget that--in April 1976--the First Crisis was still a decade in the future. So, there was not yet any "need" to incessantly wipe the slate clean, just to boost sales figures.Carycomichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16657443977195909129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-68910609644705546522018-02-26T07:32:37.932-05:002018-02-26T07:32:37.932-05:00Dave sez,
