In fact, it's always been my personal belief that Lee Falk's Phantom is an unacknowledged missing link between Tarzan and the Batman.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-55858353606799497692012-06-04T13:56:03.474-04:002012-06-04T13:56:03.474-04:00According to Wikipedia, Peter David has expressed ...According to Wikipedia, Peter David has expressed interest in writing this very thing.Marc Tyler Noblemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10732005290440645718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-67614286724903055072012-05-22T04:56:43.400-04:002012-05-22T04:56:43.400-04:00There was a story in The Phantom daily strip (repr...There was a story in The Phantom daily strip (reprinted by Frew comics in Australia as The Lord of the Jungle) where a young Edgar Rice Burroughs joins the Jungle Patrol and stumbles on The Phantom in a loincloth fighting a crocodile.Brad Mengelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16596448037971938535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-66538958697418147602012-05-20T01:49:11.162-04:002012-05-20T01:49:11.162-04:00nuff said. I thought there had been one from Topps in the 1990's, since they held both licenses at once, but it's not in a box of Topps stuff I was organizing recently or in any of their ads. There was a Zorro/Dracula title, though!

One more vote for the Venture Brothers. For one thing, anyone who recognizes the cartoon potential of Brian Eno's Roxy Music-era outfits deserves acknowledgement. One of my favorite episodes features a mint condition copy of Marvel Comics #1 that gets gradually trashed as events play out because nobody involved knows what it is or what it's worth. Because the episode jumps around in time you can piece together the proper sequence of events by paying attention to a little meter that appears on screen and clicks off the dollar value as the comic gets damaged (the smaller the remaining value, the later in sequence the scene), kind of like the meter in the early issues of Spawn.pblfsdahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07471473189061385119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-45052967569672569922012-05-18T10:44:43.784-04:002012-05-18T10:44:43.784-04:00phantom and phantom stranger or marvels the strang...phantom and phantom stranger or marvels the stranger and dc phantom stranger also batwing and falcon or nightmask meets nightwing nightcrawler and ambush bug they both teleportAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-39241339366535162252012-05-18T08:35:04.715-04:002012-05-18T08:35:04.715-04:00The Venture Brothers is the single greatest animat...The Venture Brothers is the single greatest animated show in the history of television. You can tell that it was a labor of love for the creators who grew up watching Johnny Quest and other serious cartoons from 60s & 70s, but answering the question: What happened after Johnny grew up, and thier villians grew old went into semi-retirement? Anyone else have thoughts on this groundbreaking animated series?Ultramagnetico Sympaticonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-11841311437954543792012-05-17T15:52:57.927-04:002012-05-17T15:52:57.927-04:00That doesn't look bad at all. That doesn't look bad at all.arw1985https://www.blogger.com/profile/02413390156820607302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730409500376659257.post-15319520560029949392012-05-17T15:26:54.205-04:002012-05-17T15:26:54.205-04:00I've never seen an episode of Venture Bros.
