Chiefly, ... GREEN LANTERN I didn't mind so much. Chiefly, because Ryan Reynolds captured the smartass-ness of the 1990's comic book Hal Jordan with the same faithfulness he brought to his cinematic versions of Hannibal King and Deadpool! And, MAN OF STEEL, I found refreshing for its complete _absence_ of Lex Luthor (for once).

But, yes: an animated sequel to the Bat-series of the 1960's would be highly preferable to the needless ret-conning of Robin's origin in TDKR. Especially, if the Chief Bad Guy of the piece was the Obeah Man (or, a frighteningly identical successor, thereto).

As for Ben Affleck being an ideal choice to direct the next Bat-flick? I would not be surprised at the latter. Considering the great (and, in my permanent opinion, highly convincing) job he did as Daredevil!

Who knows? Maybe, someday, there'll be a cinematic crossover between the two! Affleck as Daredevil...and Chris Bale as the Batman.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
