It will be interesting to see what Dr. Doom and Namor's relationship will be like in Avengers: Doomsday. I remember them working together almost as much as they were at odds back in the pages of Super-Villain Team Up. I wonder if that dynamic will be represented on the big screen.

Probably not. They're both alpha dogs...who don't play well with other alpha dogs. Doom, especially! That being said, I love the whimsical nature of this cover. Great work, Ross! :-)
ReplyDeleteConsidering what Marvel did with Namor in the movie, i don't expect a lot.
ReplyDeleteNamor (and I say this as a big fan of the Sub-Mariner) should only appear in another MCU film once he is redesigned and recast. The version given us in Black Panther was terrible. I was never more disappointed in a superhero portrayal as that (well, that and the latest version of Superman--Henry Cavill spoiled that role for any other actor to dare touch it. He was the best Superman ever imho).
ReplyDeleteOh, and another great cover job! I got so upset I forgot to tell you that!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Jason Mamoa could be cast as Namor. He did a believable job playing Blanka in the Street Fighter remake!
ReplyDeleteRobert Mammone in the 1994 original did Blanka better.
DeleteT-bolt to Namor: "What do you mean you and Black Adam aren't really long-lost brothers, after all?"
ReplyDeleteSad-but-true, dude. In the Rossverse, Black Adam is apparently not an Atlantean Deserter (as was hinted @STF #534, thirteen years ago).
