Captain Marvel and Ghost Rider

Now this is truly and odd couple.  A story that would find them having to work together could be very interesting.

  1. I never understood why DC just didn't go with the name Captain Thunder.
    It was right there. 🤦

    1. You haven't read any recent issues of Justice League Unlimited, have you? He's Captain Marvel again!

  2. Tell me there's a scene with Ghost Rider using his Penance Stare on a worm wearing glasses, and I'm in. ;)

    1. I wanna see the Penance stare used on the Captain (as a way to make sure the Wizard's corruption hasn't spread to the Marvels)... to absolutely no effect.

  3. If this were a real-world cinematic team-up, Zachary Levi would be Capt. Shazam, Nicholas Cage would be GR, and the villain would probably be Lord Hades (estranged brother of Zeus and exile from the Rock of Eternity).

  4. I'm surprised that you didn't mention how great it is that the most recent comics actually have him with the right name, finally! Captain Marvel flies again!

    1. But, is that name published on the cover of each issue as the series title? Because, if not...insert "shrug of indifference" emoji here.

    2. @Anon1211: sadly, no. BB's alter-ego is only allowed to be called Capt. Marvel within the comic books.

    3. Then, it still ain't great.

  5. Say, here's a bizarre idea: Nic Cage's "The Spider" (Spider-Noir) teamed with Lewis Wilson's Batman.

  6. Another bizarre idea: There was, for a while, a character in the DC Universe named RAM. How about seeing a team-up between him and ROM?

    1. They could unite against Borg-assimilated Dire Wraiths!

  7. Some sad news: Anthony Stewart Head--best known to American audiences as Rupert Giles, personal Watcher of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER--passed away June 1. He was age 72.

So, Ross, if it's at all possible (on such admittedly short notice); would you be able to do a tribute cover sometime in the near-future? Like, say, the Scooby Gang of Sunnydale meeting the meddling kids of Mystery, Incorporated.

  8. Ghost Rider being given a Bizzaro touch?? Right out of the Twilight Zone.
