Green Lantern and The Whizzer

I always enjoyed adventures featuring Green Lantern and the Flash.  Placing the original GL alongside Marvl's first speedster whould have had the same appeal for me.

  1. Makes me wonder how Alan Scott might have fared against an opponent as devious and merciless as the Red Skull... or the Whizzer versus Solomon Grundy.

Hey, has the Golden Age Captain America ever crossed paths with the Newsboy Legion...?

    1. @Anon8AM: nope! Just Batman, Ben Grimm, and the Hulk (so far).

    2. @Ross: one thing is for sure. Degaton is going to be appealing to his own mother, very soon (a la Sylvester the Cat every time he meets that bulldog)!

May you and yours have an exceedingly pleasant Mother's Day. :-)

  2. Did Sienkiewicz do the background and where can I find this remarkable picture? To you and yours have a terrific and blessed Mothers Day!

  4. Superman's Lara & Spider-Man's Aunt May would've made a great Mother's Day cover team up. Maybe fighting Granny Goodness & Callisto with the Female Furies & Morlocks in tow.

  5. Yes that's a Bill S. background but I forget from where. I think maybe from his Elektra work.

    1. You should see Spidey as Charlie Brown (from Amazing Spider-Man Annual v.1/#5 @ November 1968).
