Hawkman & Hawkgirl and Sgt. Fury

I always like the opportunity to feature Hawkman in his original Golden Age helmet.  There have been some other cool designs over the years, but none compared to the first when it came to sheer ferocity.

  4. @Anon and Bill I was actually thinking Hitler himself. Who else would fit Fury's description?

    1. Egad! Can you imagine that hurensohn as a Black Lantern?

    2. Hitler was my thought as well... though the nails suggest that it could be some sort of jiang-shih (Chinese vampire).

    3. We'll split the difference. It's Herr Schickelgruber returning as a vampire of the Krieger Sect.

  5. Luckily, the vehicle that brought them here is on the left , off camera.

    1. Hawkman and Hawkgirl wouldn't have needed a vehicle. They could have flown, under their own power, alongside one of SHIELD's first-generation of VW-style hovercraft!

    2. @Anon1152: SHIELD never modeled any of their VTOL's after the VW. Just Porsches and Aston Martins!

  6. All three characters got their logos on the cover but only 2 got face bubbles on it. What's the deal with Hawkgirl? Hers could've easily fit to the left of Sgt. Fury's.

    1. @my namesake: maybe her word balloon had one of those naughty words that are usually symbolized by a dollar sign, an ampersand, a hash-tag mark, and an asterisk. ;-)

    2. @Anon607: Lol! I just got it.

@Ross: any chance of giving Ralph Bakshi a third appearance credit by teaming up the 1967 TV-Spidey with the Mighty Heroes?
