New Mutants Vs. Darkseid

Looks like the New Mutants are in a tough spot.  It's too bad they didn't bring Magma along with them, she would have been a big help in this locale!

  1. Really? You sure about that, Ross? Because, five seconds before seeing her unconscious and at Darkseid's (usually non-existent) mercy, I would've said the same thing about Wolfsbane and that Apokoliptan War Dog!

  2. "Quick, Doug! Talk to Darkseid in Esperanto!"

  3. I wonder how Darkseid would fare against Dormammu? Would he say, "Dormammu I want to make a bargain!"?

    1. A more interesting question. Would even Darkseid's omega beams have any effect on Dormammu's pyrokinetic matrix? After all, he is one of the Faltine! Sentient beings of living flame. He, his sister Umar, and her daughter Clea, might all be mutants by their standards (having been born corporeal). But, Dormammu is now basically living flame, too. At least, his head makes him look like the love-child of the Human Torch and Little Orphan Annie! So, one is forced to wonder if even Darkseid's omega beams could permanently disrupt Dormammu's energy field.

    1. The sufficiently advanced technology of Apokolips was often indistinguishable from magic. ;-)
