Hawkman Vs. Doctor Octopus
This could be an interesting battle, especially if Otto Octavius truly has the new advantage that he is boasting of. But just how did he achieve such an upgrade in the first place? No doubt he has a backroom deal with someone like Byth or Kanjar Ro!
In that case, I hope that's Chemistro's "alchemy gun" that Hawkman is holding. Because if Doc Ock isn't idly boasting, then Katar's going to have turn that Nth metal into Antarctic vibrainum! Or the tentacle-tip pincers, at any rate. The resulting disintegration would probably spread down the tentacle, quite naturally, from there.
He might even have worked with the notorious space pirate and smuggler, Hondo Ohnaka... who, true to form (in the late or post-Imperial era, at least), would have then warned Hawkman of what happened, allowing Hawky to be prepared.
i wish i had several million dollars so that i could get DC to do stories like this with Ross as editor and sometimes writer. Karter is back!!! This would be an extra special story with Hawkman going against an Earth scientist with other world tech and imagination.
This would have gotten my 60 cents so quickly, there would have been a contrail leading from my wallet to the register.

ReplyDeleteFor those too young to remember? Antarctic vibranium disintegrates most other metals!
DeleteExcellent costume color scheme matchup. Love it!
ReplyDeletewhat issues did Hawkman ever use a ray-gun? Every issue I have ever read he always use midieval weaponry.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he got it from the Jonah Hex estate. Something the latter brought back to the 19th century from circa the 22nd?

ReplyDeleteNah! Then, Katar would've used a light saber.

ReplyDeleteI remember the comic this came from? It was the last page, a full-page splash, and instead of Hawkman, it was Spidey, saying "Holy cow! It's DOC OCK!"
