Booster Gold and The Avengers in: "Skip Day!"
A lot of prep work was required to remove Spider-Man before I could add Booster Gold in to this image. Here's a look at the behind the scenes progress:
Booster first met The Avengers back in STF #3114...
First of all? Nice job on the reversion/inversion/whatever! You always make it look so effortless, though I have no doubt that it's just the opposite.
Secondly; whatever reason they had for attacking him, in STF #3114, it's obviously been forgiven. At least, to the extent that they've apparently made him their liaison with the JLA! And, if the Leaguers need the Avengers help in thwarting Starro, it must mean the old echinoderm has brought parthenogenic reinforcements.
Last, but not least; I can't help but wonder if the original cover was inspired by Batman v.1/#183 (June, 1966).
Ha! Literally the opposite of what you'd expect, with Booster being so serious while Captain America is goofing off with his fellow Avengers! So many questions…
Hulk's dissatisfaction looks like it's carried though from the original cover; he might decide to come help Booster after all... assuming all is forgiven regarding the whoopie cushion incident.
@Cary: That's definitely the Fonz on the original TV screen, but to be fair it could be Snapper on the new one.
Rabbit ears on the TV?? How far back does this go? Tony at a party with his helmet on? Food for him how? It's a BIZARRO day!! Booster doing a Superman will be something special to watch!!
Then, this might all be a side-effect of Mxyzptlk's prank on Superman and Spidey back @ STF #5027! Supes is too magically smitten with MJ (and vice-versa) to care about an overgrown starfish. The webslinger is too preoccupied with trying to break them up. So, BG has to save the day by recruiting Earth's (2nd ) Mightiest Heroes to reinforce the JLA.

Is that Snapper Carr on the TV?
ReplyDeleteNope! That's Henry Winkler as Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli from the now-classic sitcom HAPPY DAYS.*
Delete*Situation comedy, for those of you too young to remember what that slang term is short for.
I meant on the revamped cover.
DeleteThe one with Starro also on the TV screen.
DeleteRIP Stan Lee.

Personally, I think it's field reporter Wm. Batson for WHIZ-TV News.

ReplyDeleteIn other words, the Earth-STF version of the video game, JUSTICE LEAGUE: COSMIC CHAOS?
