Thanks to Marc Tyler Nobleman, comics historian and Patron of this blog, for this suggestion!
I'm not sure why it took me so long to realize that these two had almost identical outfits. Once I did, though, I knew I had to make a cover referencing that fact!

Belliffimo! Brilliant in its simplicity !Hue did well!
ReplyDeleteYES!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's easy to see what the Foreground Gun Guys got for Xmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the early morning smile, Ross. :-)
Are you, by any chance, starting an azure version of the Union Suit Squad, Ross?* I mean, you've got two Robo-Forces. So, there should be room for a second similarly named group.
ReplyDelete*See STF #731.
The Tick could even get advice on organizing such a color-coordinated team from Forbush Man!*
ReplyDelete*They individually met in STF #3615 back @ 3/7/2022.
How appropriate to have Wildcat on the cover for Boxing Day. #BadPunNoCookie
ReplyDeleteAnd speaking of the Union Suit Squad, I think it's well past time that they welcomed Captain Klutz into their ranks. (Although "welcome" might or might not be the best word for it.)
The Foreground Gun Gang has a marvelous new superpower in holding what appears to be eleven guns so closely together that even many of the guns themselves, let alone the unseen holders of them, should be overlapping one another offscreen. Makes me wonder if rather than a gang Tick and Wildcat are facing some kind of alien being with at least a dozen arms or tentacles, or two with six arms each since Tick says bad Boys (plural).
ReplyDeleteDon't mind me. I'm just a picky sort who notices this sort of thing and has to comment on it.
By George, I think you've got it! The Bluesome Twosome are facing off against...the Suicide Squid!
Deletesorry gents, it's King clock or Father time . Count the barrels of fun and how they are positioned... clock wise. H.H HORSEFEATHERS was here too.
DeleteEven sorrier. But, clockwise or counter-clockwise, there are only eleven. Not twelve. It's Suicide Squid. Suicidally depressed at not being able to correctly count!
Delete@Cary, suppose one gunster was still reloading?? :)
DeleteOr one tentacle was doing the reloading?
DeleteThumbs up to that idea. :-)
ReplyDeleteSpoooooooooon!
ReplyDeleteComing March 31, 2026; STF #5100!
ReplyDeleteAnd, then, circa July 9? STF #5200!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, finally, on 9/16/2028? STF # 6000!!!
ReplyDeleteok, Ross... an easy challenge for you. Not like a Mad magazine... The Tick and The Shadow!! i could just guess Cranston's Lament!
ReplyDeleteI do hope you are referring to someone else, as I *did* correctly say that there were eleven guns in the picture. :-)
ReplyDeleteNope! I was correcting Anon551. As timing-obsessed villains like the Clock King would settle for nothing less than an even dozen.
DeleteAdd them to Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys
ReplyDeleteOn second, thought, they'd be more appropriate for a WWII-era team up with Captain America. With Steve Rogers turning out to be the cousin of Tommy Rogers' father (DA Daniel Rogers).
DeleteHas the Tick met Blue Beetle 1 yet?
ReplyDeleteIf so, it must've been via STF #'s 2330 and 988.
