Plastic Man and Ghost Rider

This is a meeting that I would love to see.  It's very cool that Marvel and DC are once again producing actual crossovers again.  The team ups that I have seen solicited so far have pretty much been the fan favorite type of suggestions, understandably so.  Still, I hope this new collaboration goes on long enough for them to feature some less obvious pairings as well.

  1. YEE-ESS!! This is classic Plas with Woozy and Ghost Rider with everything and anything possibly being involved! The Devil is in the details, even if they are woozy!!

  2. Is Woozy gonna push up inside of Plastic Man? That’s hotter than Ghost Rider.

  3. You'd have a hard time getting more unlikely than this pairing, Ross. Plas better call in Sargon the Sorcerer for some magical assistance!

    1. Oh, wait; I forgot. He's retired, now. Given that he doesn't have the Ruby of Life anymore. Dexter's using that to remote control the Scribblenaut-looking Batman in yesterday's issue!

  4. Hopefully DC and Marvel writers develop some ideas for good crossover stories by reading your blog!

  5. Jason's right. There's so much potential in real-world crossover stories, now! Ragman and Moon-Knight vs. the Tatterdemalion. Daredevil and Wildcat vs. the Huntress and Sportsmaster. And everyone's favorite neighborhood web-slinger meet the Golden Age Spider-Widow vs. a magically enhanced Princess Python!

  6. It does stand to reason that "fan-favorite" pairings would be the initial wave; let the more experimental ones come later. I haven't seen the announcements so far, but Batman and Daredevil, Nova and Green Lantern, Ant-Man and the Atom, and even Jonah Hex and the Two-Gun Kid would make sense.

Moon Knight and the Elongated Man would, of course, be an excellent nod to you, Ross, as would Captain America and Wonder Woman. But there are loads of great pairings that you've done in here: Spider-Man and the Creeper, Dr. Fate and Dr. Midnight, Man-Bat vs. the Lizard, the Watcher and the Phantom Stranger, Mogo vs. Ego, Iron Beetle, and of course the Inferior Five vs. Galactus.

And of course the ultimate "fan-service" pairing would probably be Harley Quinn and Deadpool; people have been shipping "Harleypool" for years.

As for the future here, I just came up with something that I'm surprised hasn't occurred to me before: Harley Quinn (giant mallet in hand) vs. Mole Man.
