There has been speculation as to who will make up the members of the Justice League when they eventually appear in James Gunn's DCU. What I'm interested to know is if we will be getting the JLA Satellite as a base for the team. While I liked the design of the satellite on the Justice League animated series, I'd prefer to see the classic version from the 70's-80's comics.
Nova Previously met the JLA in STF #3429

What do you think of a cover featuring Snake Plissken in Days of Future Past?
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat would say if James Gunn decided to go with the Lunar-based Watch Tower like in the trans-Crisis comics?
ReplyDelete@Anon734: I'd say I'd rather see a space battle between the Vipers of "Battlestar Galactica:TOS" and the flying saucers from Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's "UFO."
DeleteThen, again, that's probably what Nova is complaining about. Having to miss an actual feature film with that premise while helping the JLA win something like the real thing.
ReplyDeleteEither that, or he's p.o.'d about having to transfer from a cool space station to a Detroit-based Warehouse of Solitude.
DeleteTake One for the Team created a different idea as a follow-up to yesterday's Kolchak special. Suppose a Vampire went after Dr Magnus of the Metal Men? They have no Silver on the team!! Sometimes genre stories get all tangled up!!
ReplyDeleteAs in "Rapunzel the Vampire Slayer"?
Delete@Det. Tobor: how about Platinum using blessed Iron? ;-D
DeleteNow you folks have me wanting to see the Lone Ranger versus a werewolf opponent. Maybe Booster Gold could bring him forward in time to help with Man-Wolf or something.
DeleteNova meeting Firestorm would be interesting. Or Nova Corps vs the Green Lantern Corps? I wonder if the Nova Corps would have some conflict with the Justice League over law enforcement regulations.
ReplyDeleteBob, The Lone Ranger met Werewolf by Night in 2017: https://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/2017/11/the-lone-ranger-vs-werewolf-by-night.html
ReplyDeleteAh, so he did. Still, the above scenario does sound like a bit of fun.
ReplyDeleteI know that I'd be in favor of a sequel to it. :-)
DeleteHow about Cave Carson vs. Mole Man?
ReplyDeleteI mean, he and his crew do sort of bridge the gap between the Challs and the FF (in terms of the Early Silver Age @ both DC and Marvel).
DeleteYeah, but the Challs were still the inspirational prototype for both.
DeleteWow. Great cover…
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! Even so; Ralph's pose must've been a real pain-in-the-neck to reproduce.
