4 Famous Co-Stars Join The Wacky Races
The Wacky Races was the ultimate cartoon crossover when I was a kid. I figured I would have some of my favorite fictional vehicles join to competition for this issue. I'm guessing this would be a seriously fast paced tale!
Dead serious when I say this. For the first two seconds, I'm thinking: "Where the heck is Wonder Woman?" Then, my inner self starts laughing uproariously, when it becomes obvious, and replies: "Duh! She's flying the invisible jet!"
Then I started thinking: "Is she trying to car-jack the Creepy Coup with batarang-hooked cables?" Then, my inner self slaps our forehead and replies: "Those are real bats, you dummy!"
Thanks for the early morning laughs, Ross. I definitely needed them. :-)
For some reason as a kid I often used to imagine Super Boing from the cartoon The Super Six (which had aired at almost at the same time) as being on this show flying on his super guitar. But perhaps you had to grow up that show to really understand that!
The next time there's a Wacky Races issue, I do hope to see the Phooeymobile. Yeah, I know HKP's as Hanna-Barbera as the Races, but he's still just such a perfect fit.
Other possible candidates would, of course, include KITT, Big Wheel, and... well, Emsley's suggestion.
Funny you should post this today. I was just thinking about the Wacky Races last night as I watched Death Race 2000, which is pretty much WR with bloodshed.
I would never forgive myself if I passed up the opportunity to mention this Peugeot commercial from Brazil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcnsRrXzBC0
Batmobile or mach 5 should join also
ReplyDeleteSpider mobile or green hornets car also
DeleteAnons: The Spider-Mobile and Whirly-Bat already appeared in the last appearance of Wacky Races on this blog.

Maybe even Anakin Skywalker's landspeeder.
Or his son's T-16?

ReplyDeleteSpace Cabbie! A d the race beat goes on!
Maybe the presence of Supes and WW would deter Dick Dastardly and Muttley from their usual shenanigans?
