This team comes directly from the comment section of this blog, right down to the name. I forget actually who was discussing it, but I wrote down the idea for a team of visor-wearing heroes and it it was so silly that it stuck with me. I finally decided to tackle it..
This is absolutely hysterical. I want to read this comic. Now.
ReplyDeleteYES! Thank you, Ross. Thank you-thank-you-thank you! So nice to see my suggestion finally acted upon. I was beginning to think I stood a better chance of seeing Roger Moore in charge of the Bondsmen. Just goes to show that good things come to those who wait patiently enough. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo it was YOU😈
DeleteAs Yakov Smirnoff would say: "First two letters of your screen name. Hehhhhh! Hehhhhh! Hehhhh!" ---Cary :-)
DeleteWhat?! No Golden Age Comet from Archie Comics (jk)? ;-D
ReplyDeleteRoss probably felt that there'd be too much confusion with Dr. Solar's costume (if not the namesake equine leader of the Legion of Super-Pets).
DeleteIt's fantastic to see Beth Chapel finally make her debut here, but a quibble: When she wore the mantle, she spelled it "Dr. Midnight."
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can make up for it by teaming her up with Photon?
now there's a team you wont see everyday! Smile, and let a visor be your umbrella! great work Ross!
ReplyDeletei just want to see their first All Points Bulletin... be on the lookout for....
ReplyDelete...the Ten-Eyed Guy. ;-D
DeleteNow if you could just have thrown Gort in there
ReplyDeleteHe's probably on a mission with one of the Robo Forces.
DeleteI thought I'd be the only 1 to notice Beth's name mistake. Good eyes there Bob. Nice team with a varied power set. Hope to see them return before the year is over. A well done cover.
ReplyDeleteIn the interim, maybe Ross will give us a cover featuring the debut of those two masters of unarmed combat...
DeleteArmless Tiger Man vs. Arms Fall Off Boy!
Maybe the Super Visors could return fighting a team of super visor foes. I can't recall any off the top of my head except for the 1970s Atomic Skull & Helix's Baby Boom makeover .
ReplyDeleteTowards that end, how about they get deputized by Judge Dredd to aid him against Judge Death?
DeleteNah! I'd rather have them intervene in a battle between the Silver Surfer and Nexus (cosmic killer of mass murderers).
DeleteOh no, it's a Cylon Centurion driving Karr!
ReplyDeleteWell, if it were done as an Eighties' TV Guide ad, I would ask Ross to photo-shop Roger Davis (as Andromus from GALACTICA 1980) driving K.I.T.T.'s elder brother towards Bumblebee of the Transformers. With the latter driven by Dirk Benedict as the original Lt. Starbuck from the original BSG!
DeleteRoss probably doesn't have enough photo-captures on hand for that. :-(
DeleteCover of the month! :-)
