Worf Vs. Wolverine

Yes, Chronos has one of the most garish costumes out there.  I'm not sure which era the time villain has visited in which those striped leggings are in fashion.  Still, his mask at least has always looked cool to me and even creeped me out a little as a kid.

  1. I always had a problem with that kind of dialogue. The winner will bow to me! WHY?? You a fighter? No! Why would such a non fighter think that fighters will do what they say to do? Right Brain? You are Pinky, this TIME!!

    1. That's a plot device, Tobor. It's clear that Chronos has something that will work to control the mind of the victor post-combat -- say, a Neural Anti-Resistance Formula.

  2. There is a crossover comic book from a few years ago where Wolverine and his fellow mutants encounter the TOS crew in the original Enterprise. Wolverine tries to pick a fight there too and is promptly neck-pinched into unconsciousness by Mister Spock.

    2. To Spock's astonishment, Logan shook it off almost instantly, thanks to his healing factor.

  3. Maybe this Chronos is a Dominion changeling in disguise. One who became obsessed with stripes after hiding out on the home world of that zebra girl from "Star Trek Beyond" (or, as I unapologetically love to call it "Needless Reboot 3").

  4. @Jason Toddman: ah, yes! I fondly remember that crossover. Hank McCoy meeting Leonard McCoy. The two Scotties (Summers and Montgomery). And Gary Mitchell getting zombified by Proteus McTaggart!

@Anon821: More likely, he's a Space Phantom trying to instigate something. War between the Shi'ar and the Klingons, perhaps?

    1. @Cary: in that case, why couldn't the impersonator just be some politically ambitious Hobgoblin from the Imperial Guard?

    1. Worf, himself, would probably say: "A true Klingon's greatest weapons are his courage...and his cunning."

  6. I suppose it was the internal arrangement of Silver Age DC (Weisinger had Superman and his associated characters, while Schwartz had the other super-heroes) that prevented the plot twist of having the Time Trapper turn out to be Chronos, having found some way to manipulate time to make himself immortal.

    1. As Mr. Spock would say: "That would've been the most logical plot device. Albeit, probably too logical for most Earthlings to tolerate."

  7. Geek point: Can Adamantium be dematerialized by a transporter?

  8. Cool Ross! Maybe this a new holodeck program Worf received from Quark when mentioned that he needed a fresh challenge.

    1. A real challenge would've been Worf vs. Lobo!

    2. @Anon444: in "Battle Of The Bastiches!" ?

  10. Maybe Chronos is another "Q" who has been kicked out of the Continuum. Or he may be related to Trelane, since he looks like he's seeking diversion with this droll sport. Perhaps someday, Kirk or Picard will meet the Grandmaster!

    1. Can you imagine the Grandmaster playing chess against Despero?

    2. @Ken Roskos: given that he's wearing a full face mask, I wouldn't be surprised if it's Trelane, himself!

  11. It just hit me. Kronos is the Klingon homeworld, isn't it?

    1. Depends on whether or not it got atomized by the Romulan version of Death Star I (from the Reboot-verse).

  12. Someone suggested Worf vs. Lobo. I'm not sure even the entire Enterprise - and I mean the ship itself, not just its crew - could handle Lobo, considering he's been known to give Superman himself a tussle.

    1. Good point. Maybe it should be "Worf and Gladiator (of the Shiar Imperial Guard) vs. Lobo!"
