Justice League of America and Samurai Jack (And More!)

For this Anniversary Issue, I thought that I would present the kind of Saturday morning line-up that would have made my head spin.  With shows line these and some Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch, I would have been all set.  Here are some closer looks at the stories in this issue:

  1. Love the Tarzan one.

Vixen is from Justice League Unlimited where she got a lot of exposure.

  2. My favorite Saturday morning breakfast was Sugar Smacks and a glass of milk. After that, it was off to watch the latest brain-children from Filmation and Hanna-Barbera!

I don't know how much hunting you had to do for these images, on the Internet, Ross. But I, for one, heartily appreciate the time and effort. Bravo!

Just out of curiosity, though; where did you find that particular image of Space Cabbie? Because, for the first second, I thought I was looking at an anime version of Archie Andrews!

  4. Congrats on another anniversary!! This is an amazing way to celebrate! I enjoyed Space Cabbie reprints back in the day, and thought Hong Kong Phooey cartoons were fun! Hong Kong would be great with many comics/cartoon characters!

  5. Heh! Wikipedia says that aired on Cartoon Network back in 2016. Wonder why it never came on cable TV in my neck of the woods?

  6. Has Hot Stuff ever appeared in a cartoon? Seems like the perfect character for a Fox or Adult Swim cartoon.

    1. Hot Stuff has made cameos on The Simpsons ("Treehouse of Horror XXV") and Harvey Girls Forever.

@Ross: All I have to say about this right now is, you've done it again! Nice work!

  17. P.S.--I'd prefer a rematch between the Fantastic Four (1966 TV edition) vs. the Fatal Five. After all, it's been almost eight years! Rather too long to wait for a sequel. Don't you think?
