Well, this certainly looks like it will be a crowded issue. Let's hope that the LSH and their time traveling visitors can stop tripping over each other long enough to face of against whatever threat has brought them together!

DC has a problem... they have a great property, LoSH. It hasn't been getting good reception, regardless of packaging. Is it a question of writing??
A team-up like this would have to involve battling an entire army, most likely either from Apokolips or led by Kang the Conqueror (or perhaps both), and likely would focus on the respective teams' leaders while everyone else gets bit roles or cameos.
ReplyDeleteDetective Tobor - in my opinion LSH peaked in the Bronze Age early/mid 1980s with Kieth Giffen, Paul Kuperberg, Dave Cockrum firing on all cylinders. The Great Darkness Saga (my intro to Darksied) an an epic capstone to that era that thrilled and terrified me. They outdid themselves and frankly going into the 1990s, have not seen such level of storytelling since from DC since.

ReplyDeleteIt's more of a unitard that only slightly deviated from his original pink-and-black outfit in that only the white shoulder rings (with matching boots) are missing.
ReplyDeleteBut, if one could see Dream Girl (platinum blonde; lower right corner) from the neck down, HER outfit would definitely qualify as resembling a one-piece swimsuit!

@Anon 6:52, Darkseid and DC did have some epic stories...Darkseid was definitely building steam for his future image.

In general, Cary, yes. I especially loved those shown for Colossal Boy, Phantom Girl, and Light Lass, with Wildfire, Lightning Lad, Sun Boy, Star Boy, Chameleon Boy, and Shadow Lass all deserving honors. Cosmic Boy's skin-exposing outfit, however, is one of the worst costume ideas I've ever seen that wasn't deliberately bad.
