Brainiac 5 has been made a series regular for the upcoming season of Supergirl, and I hope that means that there's hope for a few more legionnaires to show up. We've already seen Saturn Girl and Mon El, and I'd like to see Chameleon Boy, Phantom Girl, Wildfire, Dawnstar, Ultra Boy or Bouncing Boy appear - but really anyone will do. Maybe if enough members are introduced and strike a chord with audiences, we can finally get a live action LSH spinoff show on the air.
Wonder how "Supergirl"'s version of Dream Girl will be received on the CW.
ReplyDeletesuposedly last season we were to get cosmic boy lightning lass/lad to appear chamelion boy was spoke about
ReplyDeleteI wasn't particularly impressed by Mon-El when he made his debut, but during the last season he really came into his own.
ReplyDeleteTime travel via the Darkforce Dimension? One wonders if Shadow Lass and the White Witch had something to do with it. Perhaps as a result of Mordru magically reanimating and modifying some of Bolivar Trask's old Sentinels for use against the Legion!
ReplyDeleteAs to a live-action LSH series? I'd rather see one as a spin-off of Syfy Channel's KRYPTON.
I'll have to agree with Anon, on this one. Time travel is more crucial to that series, right now. What with Earth now under the rule of Zod at the end of Season 1.
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to figure out who that female Legionnaire was on Supergirl, cause it sure as heck wasn't Saturn Girl.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous-They said at Comic-con she will be Dream Girl's great great grandmother.
ReplyDelete@Scott Cummins: Cloak??? Or Melissa Benoist's version of Kara?
ReplyDeleteWhile I would love to see live-action versions of Chameleon, Phantom Girl, Shadow Lass, and others, the one that would be the most fun to see would be Bouncing Boy. He, along with Matter-Eater Lad and Color Kid, is one of comicdom's most surprisingly-effective superheroes.
ReplyDelete(Then again, there's also Arm Fall Off Boy.)
Jay -- She was Saturn Girl. They just gave her Cosmic Boy's powers for some reason.
PS: Of all the costumes Colossal Boy has ever worn, this design is my all-time favorite. Fat chance I'll ever see it in live action, though.
ReplyDeleteJust based on the story titled, I want to see Marvel's Runaways show up here in the blog sometime.
ReplyDeleteBob, I know what they called her. But Saturn Girl is a telepath who has been with Lightning Lad since 1957. Not a telekinetic (which they said she was, not magnetic). And not married to Mon-El. If they wanted a romantic triangle they should have just used Shadow Lass.
ReplyDeleteAnd I know I was saying I don't get upset about different versions of characters in the comics a couple of days ago. But given the input Geoff Johns has on Supergirl and his professed love of the Legion, you'd think they could have done a more faithful version.
Ambush Bug VS The Legion of Super Evil: No Shame No Sequel.
ReplyDeleteCloak & Dagger (Marvel) meet Spy Vs Spy (Mad): "What's all this Skulking About Then Eh (pronounced Aay)?".
ReplyDeleteCloak And Dagger meets Sugar and Spike (the Kids not the new 52 adults).
ReplyDeleteMeteor-Man (Robert Townsend & Marvel) Meets Captain Comet (DC).
ReplyDeleteJohnny Nemo meets Little Nemo In Slumberland. Talk about your contrasts.
ReplyDeleteABrotherBarnes: But, would those two Nemos find each other?
ReplyDelete@Jay Johnson: my guess is the writers simply Moondragonized her. As regards their comic book companions-for-life? Maybe that will be addressed in in Season 4. Perhaps even as part of a Nielsen Weeks crossover with DCLOT!
They will find each other in the Realm of Daniel/Morpheus (Vertigo)
ReplyDeleteJames Twilley (Grimjack) Meets Jack T Chance (Green Lantern and an obvious parody of Mister Twilley.). Anonymous pick the location. Sidenote this machine ought to know by now that I'm a robot.
ReplyDeleteOops I mean Not a robot. Do robots make those kind of mistakes?

ReplyDeleteDemon Killer (Warren) meets 'Mazing man (DC) at Munden's Bar (First) in Sweet Cynical Cynosure (First).
ReplyDeleteFelicia "Black Cat" Hardy vs. either Ralph "Jaguar" Hardy (Archie/Red Circle) or Empire City's Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse!
ReplyDeleteCary Comic throw in the Hardy Boys and have the setting be Hardee's . Bonus Points have Fred Flintstone say Har-Dee Har-Har.
ReplyDeleteOr, even better, have their waiter be Hardy Har-Har (gloomy hyena sidekick of Lippy the Lion)!
ReplyDeleteYou could add the fish Nemo and Captain Nemo (20,000 Leagues) to the above pair of Nemos.
ReplyDeleteCaptain Nemo and his Crew (CBS American Network) VS The Evil Doctor Cunningham (Who is actually Chuck Cunningham (ABC American Network) from the first season of Happy Days). In conclusion Hardy Har-Har is a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteConsidering this morning's cover, I think we now know what these guys were running away from. Tyroc and Wonder Man's fashion mis-statement!
