Justice League of America Vs.The Marvel Universe

For past anniversary issues, I have gone with the multiple stories approach that emulated the DC 100-Page Giant comics of my youth.  This time around, I thought I would go for one big story.  I can imagine this is the type of tale that would feature chapters drawn by different top artists of the day. And now to start the march towards #1000...

  1. Happy anniversary!
Wow what an awesome cover! I would definitely spend money on inter-company crossovers like the DC Versus Marvel. That was a fun comic!

  2. I guess we now know why the new 52 DC Green Arrow does not have his goatee and mustache. Namor punched it off! ; ))

Great cover as always and love these to be real cross-overs.

  3. Let's play "spot the themes"...

    Bruce Wayne vs Bruce Banner

A blind guy vs a "hawkeye" (also "seven devils)

GA & Namor are the resident hotheads of their respective teams.

    Aquaman vs a surfer

Annnnd Spider-Man & Atom's costumes are nearly reversed versions of each other!

    Do I get a No-Prize??

  4. Ha... maybe a coveted STF-Prize!

  5. An idea based on what Zoinks posted:

Batman and the Hulk in "They Call Me Bruce"!

(With maybe a special appearance by the Green Hornet and Kato!)

  6. I've kind of done that one - The November 1, 2011 B&B Cover featured Batman and The Grey Hulk in "One Bruce Too Many!"

  7. Sincere congratulations, man. I takes a lot to stick with something like this, and you have it what it takes. Looking forward to heading to the big 1K with you!

BTW, this cover certainly rises to the occasion! Well done. Now I want to read a Silver Age Spider-man/Atom crossover - if anyone could tell that Spidey was actually an insecure high school student it would be college prof Ray Palmer...

  8. Thanks, Walaka - I appreciate it! The Professor/student angle with Palmer/Parker would make for an interesting story.

  9. #1000? JSA vs. the Defenders. Please. :)
Or perhaps the JLA, JSA, and All-Star Squadron vs. the Avengers, Defenders, and X-Men! :D

  10. I can only hope and pray you don't revise your issue count at the last moment, like DC so ill-advisedly did with ACTION COMICS.*

*As yet, their ultimate "WTF" move!

  11. Congratulations on #900, and it's a great one. I appreciate Zoinks' take on the pairings, I hadn't had a chance to think about it, but was wondering.

You surely have thought about getting an actual crossover story together, even if just a short one?

Looking forward to the next 100… and beyond!

  12. Webworker... I used to draw comics for my own amusement years ago which had a crossover theme, but that's as close as I have gotten to an actual story.

  13. Great cover and Zoinks Graphics DOES merit some kind of award for his interesting thoughts.

  14. Whoo! Big 900! Congrats on another milestone. Though I don't post as much as I probably should, I still check this out every morning so that I can start my day with at least one good thing. :)

  15. Dropping by to congratulate you and say how much I love your work. In this issue I love how you made use of the split cover convention with Spidey's web lines being the image separators. Classic!

  18. Daredevil vs. Hawkman, or teamed up with Hawkman would be cool:/
