Adam Strange and Space Ghost (Part One)

I haven't seen Adam Strange popping up in the new DCU, and that's too bad because DC had been doing a good job of featuring him prior to the relaunch.  Hopefully when he returns, he will not have strayed too far from the elements that made him great - a man of two worlds who uses science, courage and  ingenuity to battle outlandish menaces.

One great Alex Toth design deserves another, so I thought I would throw Igoo in here as well as Space Ghost.

  1. That Thing/Igoo team-up is one I'd want to read. Or even write.

  2. Dave sez,

    That's a cool cover - both team-ups!

Am I the only one noticing that a lot of the "fun" characters aren't around in The New 52?

    1. That's because nothing is fun in the New 52. Heck, with issue 12 of Action Comics... they actually figured out how to screw up Captain Comet!

I pray that they stay away from Adam Strange until after Lee, Didio, and Johns are shown the door.

  3. Just wanted to thank for these. I've been reading from the start and you keep making smile every time you post. Thanks. I so want to read nearly all of these team-ups.

  4. Thanks guys, I appreciate it! There are plenty more to come... I'm approaching issue #500 of STF and trying to think of a suitable anniversary issue.

Dave, too true... Still waiting for The Creeper, The Metal Men, Metamorpho, Ambush Bug, etc.

  6. Ross, if you want a suitable anniversary team-up for STF, I think you should go back to your roots: team up Batman and the Thing.

  7. Bob, I was thinking the same thing...

  8. Thing and Igoo is a winner! Maybe we can get a Reed Richards/Zandor team-up?

Adam Strange and Space Ghost is another natural, and would a dream to layout over 30 pages of alien land/spacescapes!

  9. @GF: Of course, they are! Their rescuing Space Ghost from the Rock Robots of Zorket* is obviously what inspired them to form the Quarrymen in the first place.

*Zorket must be mind-controlling Adam Strange, somehow. Making the true space madness Adam's!
