War Machine Vs. Lex Luthor

One thing that I really loved about Lex Luthor's portrayal on Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League/Justice League Unlimited is that we got to see him evolve through many of his comic book characterizations, from the businessman, tho the genius inventor, to the operative from behind prison bars, to the leader of the Secret Society... they even pulled off the power suit.  Hopefully if Lex returns in the films, he will be more comics-faithful than his last cinematic appearance, which did not work for me at all.

Verbal irony from Luthor...seeing as Superman as always said the same thing about him!

The Luthor from the movies seemed to me to be a weak joker.

What... no Eclipso today?

I totally agree re: Luthor in BvS. Nothing against Jesse Eisenberg, who did the best that could be done with what he was given, but the portrayal of Lex as a highly-caffeinated spoiled rich kid was just too far off base.

I also agree with Other Bob. I would sort of expect Eclipso today, possibly battling either Sunfire of Dr. Strange. (Part of that is probably the fact that I'm right in the path of totality -- and a great experience it was, too!)

No kidding, that was the WORST miscasting of any superhero movies outside of Seth Rogen as the Green Hornet.

A confrontation like this eclipses any over-hyped astronomical phenomenon any day of the week!
