Drax Vs. Lobo

I'm not sure why, but Lobo is a character that has never really appealed to me in comic book form, but I have enjoyed his animated appearances.  I liked when he showed up on the excellent two-parter "Hereafter" on Justice League Unlimited and I also got a kick out his appearance on Justice League Action as well. Maybe I just have to hear and see him in motion to appreciate him.

I thought I was the only one! Lobo, Doomsday, Bane, Venom. Your mileage may vary. If Lobo is supposed to be parody, fine. I just can't take a character like that seriously.

The Silver Age Drax could've mopped the floor with that guy. Especially when you consider the fact that Lobo was originally conceived as almost a Bizarro version of Wolverine! Minus the Yoda-speak.

Have you seen the Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special? That was pretty fun.

Thought Drax was "bronze age".

Kinda got bummed out that they screwed with Drax over the last few decades. He used to be able to stand toe-2-toe with virtually anyone. Then they made him retarted, now he's like a Hong Kong mugger. Guess I'm old and like my mythos old school.

This would be a pretty good fight, depending. Both of them have had power levels all over the map (though Lobo's usually shown as being in Superman's general weight class).

@Kildumpster: as far as I'm permanently concerned, any Marvel or DC comic published after 1970 is simply Late Silver Age. With the True Bronze Age beginning after 1985.

Drax was made "retarted"? When was a he a "tart" in first place?

Then what would you consider the Dark Age and the Modern Age?

Dark Age = anything published before ACTION COMICS v. 1/#1.

Modern Age = anything published after New 52.
