Robotman Vs. The Wrecking Crew

The New Thor: Ragnarok trailer gave us our best look yet at Hela and The Executioner, and they look great alongside Valkyrie, Loki, the Grandmaster and Surtur.  Part of me still longs to see Thor's more Earth-bound antagonists, The Wreckng Crew.  Their enchanted weapons and numbers make them a threat to the Thunder God, and their personalities and motivations are decidedly different from the foes he has face thus far on the big screen.  I don't know if a fourth Thor movie will even happen, but if it does, I hope they get their chance.

Given that he's the same coloration as Automan (last seen---by me---in DC COMICS PRESENTS v.1/#33), I have to wonder if Cliff Steele's body might not have been constructed of meteoric manganese. Which, in turn, might be the basis of what Asgardians call "uru."

Going the other direction, if you amp down the magic some, I think the Wrecking Crew would make great opponents for the Netflix version of the Defenders -- non-ninja types who can go toe-to-toe with Luke, Jessica, and Danny and make them really work up a sweat.

Actually, Iron Fist _did_ go toe-to-toe with them, once. Side-by-side with Capt. America, himself! Although, it was in Avengers Mansion, using a training sequence designed for Thor.

P.S.---don't you think it's ironic that Ross does a lot of cover sims depicting robots...while insisting that the rest of us verify that we're not?

I think Robotman upgraded to being made of uru metal like Iron Man was in Avengers series (Avengers EMH, S01E26 - A Day Unlike Any Other) would be very, very cool.

I presume that somebody -- General Immortus, perhaps -- put out a contract on Robotman, and the Crew decided to go for the money.
My personal favourite Wrecking Crew appearance [outside of this site, of course... ^_^ ] was in 'Damage Control'.

How about having the Wrecking Crew meet DC's little-used 'Demolition Crew'?

Robert Crane should come and rescue him.

@ Dr. OTR - I agree. :-)

I second the use of Damage Control in some faction.
