Blue Beetle and Captain America in "Crushing Defeat!"

I'm not sure what, if anything is still happening with a Blue and Gold movie, whether it is still on, has been converted to a Booster Gold solo film, or what - the rumors seem to have stopped.  I hope that DC finds a way to make it work though, I like the idea of a buddy-cop style superhero movie.

Cap shared an adventure with Ted Kord back in STF #234, and met Blue Beetle Dan Garrett in STF #1078...

Not much info at imdb, other than a release date of 2018. I'd love to see the buddy-cop story done well in the super-hero format!

Hmmmmm! My first guess, as to the Chief Bad Guy's identity, would be Graviton. But, now, I'm thinking...reanimated Golden Age Blue Beetlte! Either as a result of "The Blackest Night," or a bite from Marvel Zombie Access.

*Anybody else remember poor Axel Asher? :-)

@ Cary: actually, I think you mean early Silver Age Blue Beetle. The one initially published by Charlton! He was the one with the Superman-like powers before Ted Kord took over the role. The Golden Age Blue Beetle was more like Cap: biochemically amped up to quasi-Olympic athlete levels. Although, in BB's case, Vitamin 2X seemed to be more temporary-acting than the original Super-Soldier Serum

@Anonymosu: Yep! I hate to admit it. But, you're right.

Hmph! Only five replies? Maybe a "Blue & Gold" feature flick isn't as potentially popular as most of us would like. :-(

To be sure, but that's what was said about Guardians of the Galaxy when the first movie was announced, so anything can happen

True. Look how much more money the Harry Potter prequel (FANTASTiC BEASTS...) made, worldwide, compared to the simultaneously released DR. STRANGE!

I guess Eddie Redmayne's resemblance to the 11th Doctor Who kind of overshadowed Mr. Cumberbatch's performance.

@Anonymous #1: And an extra piece of trivia that few fans notice. (I didn't know it until recently.) Though the Golden and early Silver Age Blue Beetles had virtually identical costumes, the GA version was really police officer Dan Garret, and the SA version was archaeologist Dan Garrett. An extra T was added to the name.

And even fewer noticed the Bronze Age version was Dan Garrettt.

re: Dan "Garrettt." That was a fabrication by Ted Kord and Jamie Reyes.
