Batman and the Outsiders Vs. Galactus

It has been great seeing Katana on Arrow as well as in trailers for the upcoming Suicide Squad.  I really hope she makes it through that movie alive though, because even more than the Justice League, Batman and the Outsiders is the comic team I really want to see on the big screen one day.  Black Lightning, Metamorpho, Halo and Geo-Force would look great on the big screen alongside their teammates.

Coming tomorrow: STF #1400!

Wow - 1400 already? Awesome!

I like be BATO from the very start. It was an interesting mix of characters.

Welp, they're screwed. Can't wait to see 1400.

As Burt Ward might've said, back in the day: "Holy Fight-to-the-Finish!"

Yeah, they're royally screwed. ROYALLY! Seriously even with Batman leading them, there's chance in hell they win, or last more than 10, maybe 15 minutes.
I mean shit, they have Metamorpho on the team, and he'd still be neutralized in seconds if the Silver Surfer's involved, let alone the big guy himself.

Oh well. They had to try....

I'm surprised that so many people say that the Outsiders have no chance against Galactus. Hasn't he been driven off more than once by the Fantastic Four?

At least Captain Klutz (STF #1244) was able to keep Galactus busy while the Outsiders got into position.

@ Both Bobs: I think BATO is only trying to keep the Big G occupied until Superman gets back to Earth with the Ultimate Nullifier.*

Ross, as a hardcore fan of B.A.T.O. who brought every issue and guest appearance (especially if it was drawn by Jim Aparo), I am dying to know where this image was taken from? Whenever you use Batman & the Outsiders I kinda get depressed, since as far as I'm concerned, THIS was the last great comic series of the 20th Century. Thank you Micheal W. Barr.

Splash page from BATO #4 if memory serves.

I liked BATO and I agree Michael W Barr and Jim Aparo were great on it, and good group of unique characters that really seemed to fit the group. My thought is, if Batman knew Galactus' powers he would have a plan before risking their lives, whether to keep him busy till Superman saves the day, or maybe some combination of their powers and a secret weapon to stop Galactus!
Congrats on another anniversary issue tomorrow, I know you'll have another big celebration!

Congratulations on the anniversary. Another anniversary is next Wednesday: 80 years since first publication of the Phantom... Before superman, batman and the rest.

@ Paul Green:

And, knowing Batman, he probably DID know about Galactus' powers...courtesy of Bat-Mite and the Impossible Man!*

Galactus was basically "rocketed to safety" from the ending of the previous universe, right? And wasn't the ship in which he'd made that trip then at least briefly in the possession of a Watcher?

So, "obviously", the rest of the Outsiders just need to distract Galactus while Batman gets into the right position to use his [Watcher-supplied] 'Previousuniverseite' ring...
