The Spectre and Hellboy

Emmet Scanlan has been cast in the role of Jim Corrigan on NBC's upcoming Constantine Series.  No word yet whether Corrigan will eventually be killed off and return as The Spectre, but it will be an awful tease if the show runners don't give The Spirit of Vengeance a shot.  They have hinted at characters like Doctor Fate as well, so I think there's a good chance I will get my wish - provided the series is a hit and runs long enough.

Looks like Wotan's about to get a wounding! Nice!!

Nicely composed with close-matching art styles... assuming that isn't Spectre by Mignola. I'm a bit taken off by their positioning, however... given Hellboy's left leg is overlapping his cape, it looks like the Spectre is standing between him and Wotan. Are Spectre and HB in the "fight" portion of "fight then team-up" syndrome?

All Mignola. Wotan is attacking Spectre and Hellboy is jumping in to save his ally.

Great artwork! :-)

If only DC and Dark Horse really would do such a crossover. :-(

As for a "Constantine" TV series? I wouldn't mind it, so long as they didn't pick an English actor with _too_ thick of a Cockney accent. That was one of the few things I liked about the Keanu Reeves feature film version. I could picture his Constantine as being Canadian!

With regard to the chances of such a series being a one-season wonder? You'll just have to wait and see, like the rest of us. Personally, I was shocked when BIRDS OF PREY wasn't renewed for a second season...and even more shocked that ARROW was!!
