The Super Friends Vs. The Avengers

When it comes to TV superhero theme songs, there are a few that rise to the top for me.  The 60's Spider-Man theme has a great beat and is fun to sing along with.  I also quite liked the 80's animated Hulk theme song, it felt right for the character.  Still, my favorite has to be the classic Super Friends theme.  There was no way not to get excited when I heard that orchestra playing.  It sounded majestic and powerful, and very befitting of Earth's greatest superheroes.

I agree. Although, even though I'm mainly a DC fan, I can't help but sing along with the 1966 Marvel Super Heroes cartoon theme song. The individual heroes' themes were catchy, too. Particularly Captain America's.

I thought the theme song for the Superman animated series from the '90's was pretty cool.
Good cartoon.

Both that and the Batman animated theme were good spins on the Movie themes I thought. You could definitely feel the influence.

There was a music video a while back that Cartoon Network was showing that was a mild remix of the Superfriends theme. That fanfare and driving brass base line still get to me.

Found a copy of it: http://youtu.be/w-vlzX4QBq0
